Many martial arts schools do not offer extensive weapons training, besides some forms and a few fighting
applications. We offer practitioners of those styles instruction in two full systems of weapons
fighting; or interested parties may choose to study specific weapons.
Fighting Eskrima
Gatdula’s Fighting Eskrima (GFE) is our own style of Filipino stick and bladed fighting. If
you do not study the Philippine fighting arts, or would like to expand your performance and knowledge
of stick and knife fighting, this course will help you achieve that goal. GFE is an intense study
of Philippine combat weapons. Those who would like to learn Gatdula’s Fighting Eskrima should plan
to pursue this style for at least 2 years full time. GFE is available through the Weekend Warriors
course, private lesson, group lesson and by training camp.
Classical Chinese Weapons
Those studying Kenpo or Kung Fu may be interested in our Classical Chinese Weapons course.
In this course, you may elect to choose specific weapons to study or the extended Chinese Weapons
Course, which includes:
- Gwun (Staff - Southern & Northern style)
- Cheung (Spear - Southern & Northern style)
- Darn Do (Broadsword - Southern style only)
- Darn Gim (Straight Sword - Northern style only)
- Double Broadsword
- Kwan Do/Je Mai Do (Horse-Cutting Lance)
- Sam Jeet Gwun (Three-Sectioned Staff)
- Steel Whip
- Woo Dip Sern Do (Double Butterfly Swords)

Single Chinese Weapons
One may choose to study specific weapons to add to your own collection of weapons skills.
We teach these weapons by three-month private course and weeklong camps only. Some weapons
that have a higher level of difficulty, such as the three-sectioned staff and the Darn Gim, may require at least six months of study.
