April - December 2008: "Olympic Style Tae Kwon Do" Class
Learn Tae Kwon Do stategies and techiques that work in competition fighting !
We will go beyond just basic kicking and stretching in this class - you can learn that anywhere. We will focus
on footwork, timing, strategies, combinations and counter-attacks
that work !
You will get a chance to spar with a variety of parnters, using protective gear, under various rules of competition.

June 2008: Staff Seminar
Drill on basic staff techniques and learn part of a Northern Shaolin staff set !
For Typhoon Martial Arts students only. Master basic handling and striking skills with this fundamental Chinese weapon: the staff.
Class meets once a week: Wednesday evenings 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
July - August 2008: "Boxing and Escrima" Seminar
Come work out for two months this summer and learn to fight with your hands and with sticks !
In this class you will learn "real" boxing - not "martial arts" boxing. All the important aspects of the art of
boxing will be taught: sparring, power mechanics, how to train yourself, and how to
fight with this style.
In the Eskrima part, we will only learn the first 6 strikes, but you will become
proficient with these strikes.
Emphasis in the Escrima portion of the class will include how to hit with power, hitting by combination, and how to
counterattack. By the end of this class you should be confident fighting full contact with padded sticks.
Whether you are a beginner or advanced martial artist, this class will change how you fight forever.

July 2008 ... "Tournament-Style Point Fighting: A Monthly Workshop Series"
Learn lessons and secrets of the point tournament scene from a real veteran !
Master Mustafa Gatdula literally grew up in the martial arts tournament scene. In this series, he will share many
rarely-taught lessons from the point circuit and guide you to becoming a top ranked fighter, if you wish, or simply
help you to enhance your sparring skills.

- Common mistakes made in tournament sparring
- The key to aggressive sparring and power
